TO THOSE SEEKING REVIVAL: if you find what you are looking for it will not be what you expect. I have been experiencing a wisper revival in my life now for the better part of a year. Tim William's book describes this lovely and painful road I am on exactly. Everything from counting the cost of being a desciple to daily becoming weaker as God's strength grows in me. As I read Wisper Revival I saw through scripture how a quiet and slow personal revival of repentance and death to self is the only way God will come in these last days. Now, as I look around at the false revival I wonder how I believed it was Godly. I saw in the May 2000 CHARISMA magazine on page 91 an advertisment for a youth revival in Florida which promoted "passion for Jesus, impartation of revival fire, and tanning on the beach." Let those who have ears to hear and eyes to see wake up and repent of a wide road and worldly Christian walk, and seek God's cross and the wisper revival he has for those that hunger and thirst for rightiousness.
In the Midst of Revival

I am ashamed to say that I myself needed a revival in the Lord. Almost a year ago He began this revival in my life. It truly brings both devestation and joy as the book states. I was encouraged as I read to fully trust in and look to God. To stand firm in the revival He has begun and to not look back. I always wondered why even after all the "Revival" services I had been to, although for a time I had felt refreshed and "gung-ho" for God, that those "changes" never lasted. I hated it, yet my flesh loved it and so I gave in. I lived a rollercoaster Christian life. Day to day I was OK with it, but God's still small voice told me often that there really was more. I believed there was more, but never saw anyone living it, so I just stayed on the rollercoaster. Horrible excuse. Well, no more excuses. God has loved me enough to begin this revival in my life and I am not looking back. This book greatly encouraged me and gave me the Scripture I needed to stand on. I would recommend this book to anyone, whether in need of revival or not, whether you think you know what revival is or not. It will lead you no where but toward God and His Word. Read it today!
A Whisper Revival : Our Only Option

This book points out that it wrong for the church to look to the world for the quick fix. The world is full of all sorts of answers to our questions and that the average Christian is on a yo-yo relationship with God. Quick fixes not only lead us round aimlessly, but they lead to our distruction. This book is a great tool to use in discovering if you serve God for who He is or for what you are trying to get out of Him. It reveals what the world's revival is compared to what God's revival.
How God is moving today.

I was deceived into believing all the hype and excitement was the Holy Spirit moving. After reading Tim Williams' book, A Whisper Revival, I realized that these noisey "celebration-type" so called revivals were not God at all. Either they were deception of Satan or my own flesh looking for a thrill. For 12 years, I had been going to different ones, and nothing ever changed; I could not overcome the sin in my life. This book showed me, through Scripture, that a true revival brings real conviction, true repentance, and freedom from the bondage of sin.
a very narrow road

I just recently finished reading a whisper revival our only option. This book very carefully outlines how God works revival in a believers life. I can't express to you enough that it is God who works a revival in a persons life. It takes continual dependance and waiting on the Lord for revival to not only work, but continue. Revival is a very quiet, humble, working by Gods leading. This book was very clear about this fact. It left you with a fear and trembling of the Lord, that only comes when you realize who God is and how He works, and that He neither needs nor wants anything from us, but total dependance upon Him. Needless to say it was a very helpful tool that I can always go back to, to examine my walk and see how much I am depending on God for everything I do, say, and think. This is a very narrow road, but we must remember what Jesus said, " narrow is the way and straight is the path that leads to everlating life, and few find it. " I thank God for this book and His ever loving grace, and mercy.
