Great book!

I am the cover artist for this book, however, I have zero to do with the content inside. I donated my work for the cover because I knew the book was going to be a great cause - Nathan Bray's son Anthony's college fund. Had the book turned out as such that I did not like it - I would not hesitate to state it here, as I have nothing to gain with the book. With that out of the way, I will state - the book turned out phenominal. For those who do not know, this book is about the events surrounding December 8th, 2004, the night Dimebag Darrell of Pantera and Damageplan plus three other people - Erin Halk, Jeffery Thompson, and Nathan Bray were murdered. I was a witness in the crowd that night...and while I wish that I could forget the horrible things that I witnessed that night, I am grateful that Chris wrote this book. The heroic actions that Nathan Bray, Jeffery Thompson, Erin Halk, and many others took that night really show me that while awful things happen all too often in life, there are also plenty positives to humanity - you just have to take the good with the bad. The world needs more people like those that we lost that night, and I suspect that there are a lot of people moved enough by their story that their lives will be influenced for the better.

A Vulgar Display of Power:Courage and Carnage at the Alrosa Villa

This is a very good book to sit back and understand what happened the night of Dec. 8, 2004. Even those that were there will be able to read this without all the traumatic nightmares that always follow. This is a dedication to those that lost their lives saving others that night. It was written tastefully, and w/an open approach. Taking police reports, eye witness accounts, and following up w/each of the victims families is an honorable way of the authors writing. It shows the more "teddy bear" approach to the stereotyped personalities, wrongfully given by those that don't quite understand the music. They're human, and the author has identified w/the families losses in so many ways. A book worth the time to read. Comes highly recommended, reguardless what type of music one listens to!

Fallen Heroes At The Alrosa Villa

This book is a book that should be read by everyone, not just Heavy Metal fans. It is a true story honoring the memories of not only Dimebag Darrell Abbott, but also about Erin Halk, Jeff Thompson and Nathan Bray, each of which lost their lives trying to help Dimebag and others from the attack of an armed madman. This book goes into the background of these men, and also of the killer, his motives, and the actual incident at Alrosa Villa. "A Vulgar Display Of Power: Courage And Carnage At The Alrosa Villa" is a deep, moving story. I think that anyone who reads this book will be enlightened and find the book as interesting as I did. I would highly recommend it!
