A Twist in Time

Judy Lambini, a young career woman, is flung backward through time and crash-lands in the Middle Ages, clutching a tote bag filled with her life's essentials--from makeup and razor to laptop and cell phone. All of which are either useless or quickly used up, and all of which seem tangible proof of her sorcery. Only one man believes Judy Lambini is not a witch, and his faith in her wins her heart. Wonderful Suprise

I can't get over how much I enjoyed this book. How the hero really loved the heroine and what he was willing to go through to be with her! This book really threw me for a loop-plotwise that is to say. I have read tons of books and that only happens once every 2 years. I loved this book and felt the character's love for each other was so tangible. This is a real hidden treasure and what book lovers like me are constantly searching for!

Not what I expected but good

I accidently got this book instead of the one i wanted but it wasn't a waste of money since the book turned out pretty good. It had an unexpected ending which kind of shocked me because I'm not used to the characters leaving in romance books but it all turned out good in the end. Judith travels back in time to 1215. There she meets Andrew who is sort of overbearing in the begining. Andrew first beleaves that Judy is a commoner but when Judy claims to be a lady that brings Phillip into play since he wishes to marry Judith but only if shes a lady. This makes Andrew jelious and well you cn fill in the blanks from there. Anyhow I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to sit down and just have a quick, fun, romance read.

Good Beach Read

I found Candice Kohl's "A Twist in time" to be an easy, delightful read. The story keeps your interest, though you can easily figure out who is who and what is what before the end of the book.

Time travel

In 1998, Judy Lambini, author's agent, is traveling in England on a research trip with Carla, one of her authors. At the Laycock Inn, Carla discovers valuable documents that will prove invaluable for her book. Judy, on the other hand, is not really interested in history, so as Carla is working, Judy wanders over the surrounding hills, where the bonfires of Samhain are burning. Judy soon finds herself near the ruins of old Laycock Castle, and suddenly, feeling a strange, electric feeling go through her, she faints. When Judy awakens, she discovers that she is in the 13th century! Judy is almost overrun by a horse ridden by Andrew Laycock, third son of the current Baron Laycock. They hate each other almost at first sight, and Andrew's brother thinks Judy is a witch. Will Judy be able to get back to the 20th century? Can a modern woman adjust to the Middle Ages and find love with a knight? Luckily, she has a few modern comforts with her-she never goes anywhere without her tote bag, which contains her cell phone, her laptop computer, her cosmetics, aspirin... This time-travel romance takes a slightly irreverent look at the 13th century through the eyes of a 20th century woman. Judy is unprepared for her jaunt through time, but manages to rise to the occasion and remember historical facts that she thought she'd forgotten. Andrew is a much more levelheaded character, who seems to have a very flexible attitude toward change. I thought the plot was believable and the novel well written, although the central section of the novel in which Judy attempts to act like a medieval lady slows the narrative down a bit. The brief love scenes are sensual rather than explicit, and are secondary to the overall plot. I enjoyed this novel, and think that aficionados of the time-travel genre will find it very satisfying. -- Jean, Fallen Angel Reviews (courtesy of Fallen Angel Reviews)
