erotic visionary

This a book dense with unabashed eroticism and spiritual insight. In the title section of ghazal-like poems, the author has set his own "Song of Songs" in contemporary Tunisia. It reads like an ancient text and yet is totally contemporary. In the two other sections, the author offers a level of lyricism and colour and beauty that I have looked for everywhere in current English language poetry but have never found - until now! I recommend this book for its command of poetic language, its outright sexiness and its metaphysical acuity.
