Gemstone of a Book

This was one of my absolute favorite childhood books! There are a variety of tales, from ones you know, like Cinderella, The Three Little Pigs, and Rapunzel, to older, more obscure tales, like The Precious Gift, Twelve Dancing Princesses, and The Three Spinners. The 32 stories are from a number of different cultures, and is a must-have for every child, and for every parent who does not want their children (and their childrens' imaginations!) to be limited to the commercial, Disney versions of classic tales. I have purchased it for two of my friends so that this book can continue delighting kids. On a side note, a couple of the pictures of witches may be a bit frightening for very small children. You might want to look the book over before reading aloud so you can warn the kiddies that there is a scary page coming up!
