I should point out that I didn't like the writer making Sarah's lively hood such a minor thing, or that she could just leave a successful business at the drop of a hat and not have any problems. Also the problem with Ken Roberts as a reporter following David never really came to any thing, even though David made a big deal about Ken. From the back of the book: 'Hard Lessons. Sarah Bennett had learned that the price of the success as a fashion designer was a life full of empty spaces. But these were unexpectedly filled with a young girl's trust when she tood in Ginny de Courcey, a ten-year-old runaway. The way Ginny's uncle neglected the girl angered Sarah, but the feeling faltered when she encountered the seductive promise of David de Courcey's touch and the tenderness behind his smile. Yet David's driving ambition was all too familiar to Sarah. A child's love had taught her how to live. Could she teach David the same hard lesson?'
