Not Just For Teens

Whether you are a teen who has never had a job before, or an adult with years of experience, this book contains helpful information. Written in a style that is interesting and informative, the author guides teens through all the steps - from assessing interests and personality traits and researching the jobs that seem to suit, to how to keep a job after it is obtained. Problem-solving and negotiating strategies are provided to help guide a teen on salary talks, trouble-shooting problems, and the "right" way to quit if it becomes absolutely necessary. Like most job search books, it contains samples of resumes, thank-you notes, and other correspondence. I recommend A Teen's Guide to Finding a Job to anyone, no matter what your age.

Great Help for teens looking for a job

Ms. Vernon's book is amazing. As a teen who has needed to work during summers for spending money I have used this book many times to gain an edge over others who were trying for the same position. The information inside is fun and easy to read, and also very complete. Not only does the book cover how to find a job and apply, but it also gives pointers on how to leave a job so that a boss will give you a good recommendation. You can also take some of this information for job applications and put it to good use when applying to colleges and scholarships. All around it is definately the most complete book out there for teens who are looking to enter the job market.

A complete "how to" manual for successfull teen job hunting.

A Teen's Guide To Finding A Job is a complete guide manual for teens seeking employment whether part-time or full-time, after school or summers, evenings or weekends.
