An absolutely captivating, can't put it down novel. The story is heartwrenching, uplifting, fascinating and truly an incredible depiction of a family torn assunder during the turbulent years of the Armenian Genocide. The characters are wonderfully real and developed so fully that one feels a loss at the end of the novel. It is a painstakingly accurate novel from a historical perspective. The authors have created an epic novel which illustrates the best and worst sides of mankind. It's an absolute must read and you will remember it your entire life.
