A Sort of a Saga is the funniest book ever written!

The first time I read A Sort of a Saga was about 15 years ago. I cannot remember laughing that hard at a book before or since. If I could I would give the reader a "thirty day money back guarantee" that he will belly laugh, lose his breath, shed tears of laughter, and drive other people around his laughter, crazy because the reader will not be able to relay the reason for the laughter. Honestly! The author, Bill Mauldin was loved by the troops during WWII. He drew popular cartoons for them, but here he writes about his strange childhood. This book is one of my treasures.
I read this book in 1964-great entertainment

I enjoyed this book, the story of a family that wanted to grow citrus in New Mexico. They lived in hard times and also adventurous times. I enjoyed the part of the boys playing tricks on the constable, and the skunk musk on the manifold. I also enjoyed the tobacco shortage because of the flood. It was a long time ago, but I would like to read it again.
