Holiness and Sly Homor: Quite A Combination

I have read many in this series of "On Retreat With" books. This ranks very near the best (just below St. John the Evangelist and Brother Lawrence, but above many others). This volume is written with insight, humor, and conviction. The author is masterful in having us immediately believe (yea, know), that we are in continuing, enjoyable, joyful, healing contact with St. Anthony. She makes him present to us -- what higher praise could I give? I spent a week on retreat in the presence of St. Anthony. He was with me before, but he now continues with me on a deeper, more personal level. This volume receives an unqualified recommendation.
