A great story

I had to read this story for school and I loved it.I had to read the juvenille version though. The story starts out with Tobias and his wife Emma and their son Zech MacIvey in 1858.The story takes place in old Florida way back before everybody started to develop the land.The story ends in 1968 with Zech and Glenda's son Sol.The MacIveys learn how to catch and sell cattle for gold dubloons and meet some pretty interesting people. They see lots of things too.I really liked this book and it was adventurous.The only thing I would recommend having at your side whilr reading this book is a box of tissues because it has some very sad parts.But it is still a good book.I hope you will read it someday
