Unexpected Pleasure

When I started this book, I was disappointed because I thought it would be devoted to the "big picture" only. However, it turned out to be a unique history of both high-level activities in the first few chapters before turning to interesting and detailed memories of action at the front. His recollections of working for Canada at the highest levels of government and military, and then his responsibilities with Monty at the front are humorous and fascinating. It also includes his actions in combat as well. A great read.
