Pleasant Romance with a Nice Dose of Suspense

Nikki De Mist had been engaged to François Dauphiné in South Africa, however sadly, François was killed in a car accident, so his father, Johanne who happened to be both an old friend of Nikki's family, plus her further father-in-law, sent Nikki to a finishing school in Switzerland. Upon her return after six months, she is to head up the public relations department of La Provence, his wine estate in Stellenbosch. It is just possible that Johanne has ulterior motives, you see he really liked the idea of Nikki as a daughter-in-law and he has another handsome son, Felix, who has been a bit of a cutup. It seems Johanne would like nothing better for Felix to settle down and come back to work on the estate.Enter Philip de Berg, brother of one of Nikki's classmates. He is also from South Africa and when he sees Nikki, it's love at first sight. Only he has a funny way of showing it, being a bit pushy. Nikki kind of falls for Philip as well, but it'll take a frightening scare before these two can declare their love, but I declare to you that this was a fun read. I thought the style a bit stilted, till I got through the first chapter and into the story. And it took me three chapters or so, before I started to like Philip, but I hung in there and in the end I was glad I did. I think you'll like this story. I liked it.
