The perfect read aloud.

I chose this book to read aloud to my grandchildren ages 12,11 & 9 (2 boys and a girl just like the book!). We enjoyed the book so much! After reading an hour or so they would beg me not to stop. This is a book I hope will stay with them as a precious memory with their grandmother as they are relocating to a far away state. They even talked about taking the book with them, but decided to leave it with me so we could read it together again when they visit. Couldn’t have made for a more treasured memory for us. It is a wonderful book! We loved each of the characters and hope Kate Albus will continue to write! ❤️

A great book

This is such a great book. It gave us a glimpse of being a child during the world wars while staying light hearted ( as to not scare the younger of my kids reading it). It read well and I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend.
