A reunion invitation leads to Nickson scrambling in his attic for a missing college photo. While searching, Nickson recalls O'Hara, a crazy Irishman, violently disagreeing with other students about everything. Back then after skipping lectures and lazing at the beach, Nickson befriends art student Jill. She takes him to an art exhibition where O'Hara turns up and causes havoc. Later Nickson joins journalist Johnathon reporting a rowdy wharf workers strike meeting. When the meeting turns nasty the strikers chase the pair. In search of peace away from the city, Nickson visits Conroy's family farm. There he joins a Kangaroo shooting party and witnesses a confession about an accident that killed a young farmer. As Jill and Nickson become closer their future is clouded by smooth talking art dealer, L'Gotto. Meanwhile, will the mystery of the long forgotten photo be finally revealed?
