Seeing the ordinary with new eyes

The wisdom in this small but provocative collection of brief reflections can be savored in bite-size portions, as the author helps us to see ordinary things with new eyes. She asks many questions that will not be quickly answered, and which will lead to more questions, but offers tantalizing hints from her own life story. The certainties that clutter our inner world may keep us from recognizing God dancing right in front of us: "In just this way we miss God, having already decided what we are looking for and how the Divine will appear." D'Arcy insists that embracing religion may be easier than encountering the living God, so be prepared for a few salutary jolts if you read this book!
