Aignatius was happily married for 82 years, but as is the way of all mortals, she left him a widower. It was another pearl in a long string of fond memories of the people he had loved and outlived for the past sixteen centuries. It was now the beginning of the twenty first century and Aig realized few prospects remained on his land. The young, single girls pursued careers in the cities. Aig's godson Pablo encouraged him to be modern, as his late wife would have wanted, and set him up with a computer to surf the internet. There he met Tara, a woman who had actually met Aig before, as a young girl on a ski vacation with her family in Andorra. This amazing coincidence led Aig to believe that the fates had intervened, and that she was the right woman for him. However, Tara was the mother of two teenage children, Cassandra and George, and was herself widowed after a disastrous marriage. She was not keen on becoming Aig's love interest. At the same time, Aig's separation from his horse partner was causing a great deal of tension in their budding friendship. Would they agree to return to their separate ways, maintaining a long distance friendship, or would they live happily ever after, once they agreed on where to live? Would Merhkolei accept Tara, and would Tara's children accept a dragon in their mother's life?
