After writing my first book, A New Approach to Coon Trapping, I saw there was a need for this book to be published. When I wrote my first book, the coon market was at levels they have not been at for years. Well, that was in 2013, and things did not last for long. The market dropped out for coons, and a lot of other animals, and it seemed almost impossible to sell a lot of the fur that trappers was catching.What was able to survive the fur market crash was the coyote, among a couple other furbearer species. Coyotes are abundant throughout much of the United States. They prey on livestock, family pets, whitetails fawns, and just about every other living creature in the country. They are definitely at the top of the food chain.
