Not perfect

Overall, a good book, with lots of information. It is heavily slanted in favor of native americans, and includes what I would term disinformation. If you know history, these sentences will stand out. Could have used some good maps and better images. The photos in the middle of the book are junk, and don't do justice to a vast topic. Could also have done a lot with appendices, which are sorely lacking. I'm an info junkie; i like summarized data in addition to the long read. Layout of the book is average.

Native American Encyclopedia

A good resource book offering specific historical and demographic information about each tribal group of North America, explaining the differences between the diverse cultures clearly and precisely. This would make a good classroom reference for older kids.

Great book of information!

Everything you ever wanted to know in one book, incredible! A must for anyone into the Native culture.
