Mystery/Fantasy

Similar to Glen Cook's enviroment - a fantasy world with a mystery story - only a cop rather than a private eye. Nicely laid out with empathy for the main character.

Fun if formulaic

I enjoyed this book and thought it was well written if somewhat formulaic (it read like the plot of many Westerns). I have to admit that I thought it broke down a bit at the end, with some of the plot lines being tied up in a fashion that didn't really fit the quality of the writing earlier.
