Short Story Romance Book.

A Mother's Delight is another one of those books that is short romance stories by different authors and is six Regency Romances and a really good book. Lady Charlotte Contrieves by Monique Ellis is the story of how Lady Charlotte tries to get her grandson Ned to get back together with his wife Marianne. Gillian's Secret by Violet Hamilton is about a young woman named Gillian who sets off to find her mother and Roderick Trehune aka Rory helps her. I liked that story. The Oriental Garden by Isobel Linton is the best story in this book and is about Lady Catherine a widow and her young son who have been living with her control freak mother-in-law who makes life difficult for her grandson and daughter-in-law and is angry when Catherine and next door neighbor Robert Manderville fall in love and she tries to force Catherine into marrying someone else and she threatens to take Catherine's son away from her if she doesn't agree to marry who her mother-in-law has chosen for her. Lost, Love, New Love by Lois Stewart is about Jack Brereton the Earl of Linwood his estranged wife Candace and their runaway daughter Amanda who ran away to find her mother. Motherly Advice by Sheila Rabe is about a woman named Rebecca Winter and her attempts on helping her daughter Letty keep the attentions of her boyfriend and Rebecca has plans on love too and sets her cap for her friend the elusive Earl of Briarvale. The Mother and the Marquess by Jeanne Savery is about Miles Amesbury, Lord Herrington and Diana the widwed mother of the children he is giving guardianship of. This is a good book and I recommend it.

Review of Isobel Linton's "The Oriental Garden"

"Poor Catherine Sturtevant! Widowed after only five months of marriage! [Now] she and her ten year old son are oppressed by her mother-in-law, who has guardianship over the boy. The boy meets their new neighbor, Robert Mandeville, just back from India, and Mandeville takes up their defense. Their story is heartwarming and exceptionally well told." --Rendezvous . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "Gold Five Stars" --Heartland. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "'The Oriental Garden'is a beautifully told story of the strength love lends to those who are willing to reach for it. . . A shining debut for Ms. Linton, and hopefully only a taste of more to come!" --Lori Wright, The Literary Times
