I don't know who wrote that review that I read, but I am appalled by your words. I thought that was a very well written book. I'm just wondering what makes that person think they know everything about everyone. Yes, they had their rules and regulations, but NOT EVERYONE FOLLOWS THEM. The story doesn't have to depict a PERFECT account of history. I thought it was an amazing book, and I have read it over and over, I never get bored with it. I personally give it a 5 star rating. I know everyone has their own opinions, but some people take it to far. Everyone makes mistakes.....even in such a strict society as in England. I'm just curious to know if that person who wrote all of that nonsense actually lived in that time period and saw what really went on. All I know is that people can act one way infront of others and be a totally different person without the strict rules. Its human nature. You can't give a fair judgement like that without being there first hand. Who knows, maybe it was really like that....but that is my point. Unless you have actually lived in that time period and saw from first hand with your own eyes...all you see is what you want to see and believe, and you hear from other peoples perspectives which could be distorted from time and telling over and over again. Just because it might use a word wrong, doesn't mean it is a bad book. That isn't very fair judgement.
