Circa 1850's. Young pioneer Judah Pickens and his father graciously invite two itinerant prospectors to spend the night--a grave error of judgment.

Judah's parents are murdered, and he is left for dead. Judah awakens in a Maidu Indian village only to discover he has lost all memory of his past. Guided to a distant farm by Ishka, a young Maidu warrior, he meets the beautiful, but lonely Shannon Brennan. During his time on the farm, Judah is haunted by demons from his past, but he is determined to discover who they are and why he is being tormented by them. His quest for truth eventually leads him across California where he joins with an old friend. Together they embark on their common journey of retribution and deliverance.
