Ah we have a bit of a mystery of missing Native American artifacts. Jericho Bedonie sends his sister, Shadow up to KoKopelli's Canyon to check on a reported camper/digger or at least to report it to the Native police. He wants to get home as his wife Cat is close to having their first child. It seems when Shadow first meets up with Mackenzie Tshongely she inadvertently becomes a cliff jumper. Shadow Bedonie is just turning 30 and must be going through a mid-life crises and is bull-headed [strong minded] enough to tackle this character on her own. Mac Tshongely, 37, and a loner just wants her gone. He is on a quest to find out where the Anasazi have gone. He has traced KoKopelli and his mate, She Who Waits, from the Yucatan to KoKopelli's Canyon. He just needs some proof that KoKopelli's woman had past this way. He is looking to find some pottery with an "Ice Blue glaze" to mark her passing. Shadow is looking for a man who will find it impossible to leave her. Mac does not stay around with any woman. The interaction between these two makes it interesting but the "hot nooky" slows down the action of the story. Shadow definitely believes in the "chindi" and Mac does not. But he is very careful of any bones that he finds on the site, out of respect. Will he find She Who Waits? What of the blue shard that Shadow finds? Has someone else been out to KoKopelli's Canyon? When the action starts up again many questions are answered. And it does get a bit exciting. The characters are great when they are involved - Uncle Ernie, Paddy, Ellen Longtree, Cat and Jericho and Diamond Eddie, the curator of the Native American museum where Shadow works. He tries to romance Shadow. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED --M -- I think it is a Keeper Set!
