"A Key to Many Doors" is a book about Peter, a government agent, who is about to get married and accept a diplomatic position, when he is called to duty in a sleepy, little town. His fiancee throws him over right before the wedding when she learns he will not be a diplomat. However, he must have a wife, so he says he will marry the first girl he meets...Nancy. This truly is a wonderful story that combines romance with a little bit of suspense through extraordinary characters. I highly recommend this book and any others by Emilie Loring.
Is this the right book?

I don't know if this is exactly the book I'm looking for, but I'm writing this in the hopes that someone out there recognizes the book I'm talking about. Is this the one about the government agent who was all set to accept as diplomatic position when he was called back to work undercover? And he gets a woman named Nancy to pose as his wife? If it is, then here's my review: It's an excellent read for those days when it's rainy and you desperately need to feel cozy. It's very sweet and the characters are very endearing. Somone out there has to have read it, I read it almost ten years ago and I want to buy a copy but everywhere I go, I meet with "no reviews availble". Help!! Ariana
