We travel, and we plan for our travels. Travelling is one of the true joys of life. There tends to be a sense of anticipation that is built up while we prepare for travel. If we are going for something that challenges our concept of comfort, there is a tingle that builds up to the excitement. There is a feeling that we are going to embark on an adventure. And, travels are always an adventure of sorts. Sometimes, the adventure is all about trekking to difficult places. At other times, it includes the process of getting past the airport authorities. And, sometimes it is just trying to make yourself understood in a foreign land.When we get back, the feeling of travel and the excitement dies down quickly. We have to get back to the normal routine of life. Sometimes, we sit by the open window of a coffee shop and, with the warm sunlight streaming through, we write about the places we visited, and the experiences we had. Suddenly, memories come flooding back, and will not be dammed. That's when we thank the stars we bought that journal.
