Great spy series, fantastic characters

I'm all about good characters in a well-written story, and this series delivers on all counts. Sophie is a charming heroine, her family is likable and appealing, her co-workers are great, and her friends are fun and supportive. What's not to like? There should be more! I can't wait to read what comes next.

Sophie the Spy does it again!

Just finished this # 3 in the Sophie Green Mystery series. Great Book, along with all the humor and Sophie quirkiness the mystery plot in this one was very good. Kate Johnson does a great job with all of the characters revolving around Sophie. I can't help myself I am off to start #4 "Still Waters" I sure hope another one is coming out soon.

Fantastic Series, when is the next one!

The Sophie Green series is great. If you are a fan of Stephanie Plum, or the Gemma Haliday series you will love these. This is the third of the series and it was just as good as the other two, actually better, although I wasn't happy withthe very end. You don't have to start with the first two of the series, but you would enjoy them all and this one better if you do. Sophie spends time in New York, in which there are some very funny scenes, then returns home to learn she is going undercover back in high school. Considering her 5'10" doubled figure seems unlikly that she would have no problem passing as a 17 year old student, but it is so funny you just go with it. She is protecting/watching a student who is the son of a Mob boss. She is struggling with her relationship with Luke, who seems to be providing her everthing she said she wanted in the last book. She thinks she can't save the world, and have a relationship at the same time. You will cheer for Sophie, who doesn't seem to give herself enough credit, yet always saves the day and breaks hearts doing it. Luke is so cool and unbelievable sexy and I love the way he opened up this book, which makes me very angry with Sophie! One thing I love about this series is that it doesn't sacrifice plot and story for humor and romance. The Stephanie Plum series (which Sophie refers too frequently) has recently seemed more focused on funny situations, over plot. Kate Johnson has a wonderful mix of all of them. I would like to see Sophie and Luke take on the world together, not a Sophie, Luke, Docherty love triagle that resembles the Stephanie, Ranger, Morelli one. I love this series and hop Kate Johnson is writing the next one quickly!

School never made me smile like this!

If anyone's read my reviews of the previous two books in the Sophie Green Mystery Series, they'll know I'm a huge fan. That works both ways, though--while I'll definitely buy every book Johnson puts out, I have really high expectations for them. And Johnson has yet to disappoint me! Having Sophie return to school undercover was hilarious. Personally I hated high school, and while the British system is different from the US one, Johnson relates it in a completely accessible way to me. I cringed right along with Sophie, rolled my eyes, and laughed so loud I scared my dog. This just might be my favorite Sophie book yet!
