Semantics

If you have a hard time conversing with a younger generation or are frusterated because you can't talk to someone involved with the emerging church. READ THIS BOOK. It will help one better understand the conversation and the words they use. The fact remaines, many words that the emerging people don't want to use is because it brings up all sorts of baggage, so try this book, than go back and talk to your emergent friend. You will undetstand each other much better.

Great, Easy to Read Resource

A 'Top 5 Read of 2003' for me. The encyclopedic arrangement makes it an easy read. Although I've never been too much of a Sweet fan due to his massively ADHD style, this book pulled me in. This is a fantastic resource for anyone working and thinking through church-and-changing-culture issues.

K - is for Karaoke

Yes, we all need a dictionary from time to time, the culture is changing fast. The church changes to address the issues of that culture. The book is stuffed with articles addressing the postmodern era, and how the church in being 'abducted' into it. In today's church, eveybody is a star! Everyone has a ministry!
