The ending fell a little flat for me but I really enjoyed the humor, the horror, and the imagery.

A HOUSE WITH GOOD BONES by T. Kingfisher
Archaea-entomologist Samantha “Sam” Montgomery is visiting her mother Edith “Edie” in North Carolina after one of her research projects in Arizona falls through. Sam thinks this will just be another normal visit — until it’s not.
For being a spooky read, I laughed so much while listening to the audio book. This has just the right balance of humor and eeriness.
I loved all the characters (even old and crotchety Gran Mae!). The dialogue was great and pacing was good. The end felt a bit rushed, but was ultimately satisfying.
Overall a good, not so scary haunted house story with creepy crawlies thrown in for fun. This is the first T. Kingfisher novel I’ve read and I plan to read more soon!
**Note: Narration by Mary Robinette Kowal was excellent - especially loved her “old southern lady” accent!

I love Kingfisher's books, this was was good and fun and I don't regret reading it. There are long stretches where kinda nothing happens and there's like 3 villans at once but they are all very scary
