The intense history of Millard County

I grew up in east Millard, Scipio, by name. Population 595 in 1950. I grew up with pioneer ancestry, Scipio one the materal side and Fillmore on the fraternal. I thought being a native I knew Millard County; not until I read the Lyman and Newell history. Scipio's name, not Graball or Round Valley, and not the way I was taught in elementary school. The Gunnison massacre, the murder of my great uncle and the Blackhawk war. The origin of Delta and west Millard's importance to the county's growth. You may be a native but this is where you will learn Millard County history. Read and enjoy!
