Thought provoking on some topics

This is a small and short book; it is not exhaustive at all of the basic doctrines it presents (doctrines of the United Pentecostal Church)It lists various scriptures under a given topic. Some versus are out of context; and other versus that could have been informative are left out; but it remains that many verses are given that can provoke thought. It appears to me the scriptures given are given to prove the topic they are under; the topic is a belief of the author and the verses are an attempt to show that belief is taught in the bible. I bought the book years ago; and I still have it in my library. When I first bought it I was a Pentecostal and loved it though still saw what I have pointed out above; now that I am an atheist I no longer value it or trust it represents the bible well; I may be giving it away soon. But I give it four stars because it is thought provoking for those concerned and is a handy reference if thinking about a topic (if included in the book) even if your not a Pentecostal. Example of topics: Repentance; Water Baptism; Divine Healing; Holiness of Spirit; etc. I just opened it up again and saw to my pleasure scriptures that support pacifism; if you don't believe in pacifism the scriptures presented will give you something to think about (if you accept scripture as a sound authority or are interested in scripture)... similar type of thought provoking with other topics. I recommend.
