I have been using this book with my son, a 2nd grader. It has been the simplest method of teaching phonics I have come across to date. I have two older children (both excellent readers)whom I did not use this method with. When using Explode the Code I can sit down with my son and do a few pages at a time(usually 3). I don't have to have charts, graphs, etc., although I do also read to/with him a few times a week . I'm seeing...
