Some Good, Some Not So Good ...

On the positive side: 1. This book can be slipped into your purse to take along for those "waiting moments" (doctor's offices etc.) 2. The photographs are beautiful and I liked that they showed grandmothers of various ages as well as grandchildren of various ages. 3. God's Word is the focal point of each page. 4. A nice ribbon for marking your place and the book seems to be bound nicely 5. This would be a nice gift for anyone On the negative side: 1. Most grandmothers I know prefer the large type. This book could be difficult to read, also the backgrounds of some pages give less contrast between page and type color. If type size and contrast is not an issue for you or the recipient, then it is a good book and a great gift.

Devotional that sticks to the Word of God

She gives not only the expected devotional subjects but ones such as not taking the Lord's name in vain and the importance of endurance. I appreciated her stance on the authority of the Scripture. Her applications stick to the Word of God. She avoids smarminess, feel-goodism, and triteness. The devotionals are warm, yet crisp, and right to the point. A wonderful gift!
