A Grand Passion

Casey Hatter had experienced such enormous tragic loss in her young life that she wasn't sure she could ever recover. Feeling smothered and immersed in the past, when she won an opportunity to study art in Italy, she jumped at it. It meant relocating to Torino, and although she was afraid, she craved the new adventure. The people in her neighborhood were wonderful, so she immediately felt at home, and knew it was the right thing to do. The call from her former employer took her by surprise when Greta asked her to interview a popular soccer star named Alessandro Sottini. Since her classes didn't start until September, she agreed even though she knew absolutely nothing about the sport. She was completely out of her element during the disaster of an interview, and Alex knew it. He was floored that she didn't treat him as the star everyone else did, and was immediately impressed by that. When he took her hand during introductions, they both felt the intense spark that sizzled between them. He was determined not to let the opportunity to know each other pass them by because he knew how rare a real connection was. Alessandro and Casey started spending a lot of time together, but she was unprepared for all the attention they received by simply being together. As happy as they were, no one else was happy about the love Alex and Casey had found. Everywhere Casey went, she was confronted by someone telling her to go back to America. When the violence escalated, and her home was attacked, she didn't know how much longer she could stay in her adopted country. When Alex was caught in lie after lie, Casey fled the country seeking the peace she couldn't find in Italy. This is a great good old-fashioned romance infused with plenty of steamy scenes. Alessandro is every woman's fantasy - gorgeous, kind, rich, and athletic! He and Casey complement each other very well, and make an enviable couple.

A Romance That Is Both Sweet And Sexy!

Ms. Winston (aka Jennifer Macaire) has written a romance that is both sexy as well as sweet. She has taken the concept of American living abroad an taken the various cultural as well as social situations one encounters and created a wonderful story that fans of romance will scoop up readily. Casey Hatter is living in Italy going to art school and trying to get on with life after the death of her young husband. One phone call later from a friend in need sends Casey, with notebook in hand, in order to interview Italy's premier "football" player Alessandro Sottini. What she knows about football could fill the head of a pin but she goes anyhow. From the first meeting these two spark something off of each other but Casey wants a quiet life. Alessandro is a star and his fans are many...and vocal. Will these two different people be able to save a romance that they both need but never thought they would find? Alessandro is a quiet hero and perfect for the emotionally shy Casey. As a result their romance is wonderfully romantic and sweet. Ms. Winston has taken time to flesh out her characters and get the most out of them in the time that she gave them. Fear not, the reader will not feel cheated in anyway! Being a displaced American it was fun to read a romance with the same theme. Alessandro is perfectly european in his actions and feelings. As a result I was fully able to relate to him as well as understand the issues that Casey faced! Bottom line, this is a great romance that I really think you should take the time to get a hold of.
