PLAY IT FORWARD

Combining a love of baseball with a sense of paying it forward with kindness, this book was destined to become one of my favorite all-time children's stories. Every school day, I start and end our days with the simple announcment to my students and staff: "Be good to each other." My favorite all-time quote comes from Jimmy Stewart from the film Harvey. Stewart's character recalls how his mom used to stress to him, "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. For years, I was smart; I recommend pleasant." This book captures the essence of my favorite quotes and urges readers to be good to others. If you simply purchase this book, you will be paying it forward since $3 will go to charities.
