I have been reading this book for the past few weeks and have found it both refreshing and inspiring in its approach to finances.Sharon has written in a language that every women would relate to and whilst I have read much material concerning finance this book has both challenged and inspired me to take take control of this area of my life. I highly recommend it to any women who has struggled in the area of financial freedom.Sharon Durling has captured the heart of women and I laughed as I found muself amongst the pages as she talks about shopping, budgets that we all "groan" at (I much prefer her term of a spending plan) but the most refreshing thing was that she gave postive solutions and I have been inspired to start investing.Go girl! Thankyou for writing this book.

Get ready for a fun, witty, practical, hip, and helpful read! Yes, Durling's book presents a topic we'd sometimes rather ignore in way that entertains and engages the reader so you won't want to put down the book. In her light-hearted style, she eases you into analyzing your spending and saving habits, and gently digs underneath those patterns to help you discern the motives behind your money decisions. After each chapter, I was able to immediatley apply a new strategy. She offers not only helpful tips-- such as great cost-cutting ideas-- but the courage to help you take risks and make positive changes financially. She takes the fear out of 'getting involved in a relationship with your money.' Definitely 5 stars.

The author explains the many pitfalls women fall into concerning cash, and then offers suggestions on how to get out of them. And it's all done in a hip, fun writing style. This book really takes the "deprivation" out of gaining financial control.

walk into that fear

A must for any "girl" that fears money. After reading many articles and (other) books on finance as well as numerous seminars... I got it, finally. Money for me was not about the numbers games as much as it was about feelng insecure and using money to mask issues. This book is much more than psychobabble... it is easy, friendly, and definitely sassy. It helped me get a grip. So I stand here today and tell you I finally understand the importance of taking care of my money matters and really implemented so many of Sharon's ideas and suggestion. It is a breath of fresh air!

Realistic, Encouraging, Helpful and Fun!

I found this book very positive, encouraging, easy to relate to, and entertaining. The advice is realistic and honest, and putting it to use doesn't feel like a chore. This book shows how you can be empowered through handling your finances well, and shows you that you likely already have good habits to build upon. Highly recommended!
