Sequel, please

I inhaled Garden of Secrets in two dark-and-stormy Pacific Northwest evenings, appropriate, I think, given the juicy, sylvan, spooky/wild venue for the story. This is one seriously atmospheric piece. Shadowy things flitting at eye's edge...the tendency of inanimate objects to loom...evasively scarce Winterwood staffers...tricks of the eye (or are they?) woven throughout the vast, enviable gardens. Juxtapose normal, practical, just-trying -to-cope heroine Eva Brown against all this and - voila - a great read. Will not offer spoilers here, but there most certainly are Secrets. And, oh-that-ending! This tale begs, cries, and pleads for a sequel. As do I.

Couldn't put it down!

Wow! That's the first word that pops into my mind when I think of Garden of Secrets. I love anything involving the supernatural or paranormal, and this book hits all the right notes. It's engaging, mysterious, and extremely well-crafted, with all the plotlines woven into a beautiful fabric that wraps around you and won't let you go until the final page. Bravo to the author! This is one book you won't want to miss!

A new exciting concept in supernatural fiction!

I came across this book after satiating myself with Bella and the Twilight series, and was not disappointed! I've read Leland's other stuff so it popped up when I was browsing and I jumped at it! I especially enjoyed the manner in which the main character "came to grips" with the paranormal/supernatural aspect; it was very believable. A page burner, and a great read!
