A Descent of Light: Poetry for the head and heart

The poetry in this book was written during a time when I was having a series of deep inner experiences which I now know as "the light in the head". It began a process which, over time, blended both the head and heart paths into a single path. It is a journey which has not ended; much like Tolkien's road, it goes ever on and on. The biggest difficulty of any medium is to express the depth and quality of the inner experience and to convey it to the reader or viewer or listener. Words are like the shadows on the wall of Plato's cave and at best are reminders that we need to turn our head to their source and look into the Light for ourselves. 25 poems and one meditation, or, 26 meditations. I hope you, the reader, find them inspiring or thought provoking or meditative.
