My Review "A Deadly Practice"

I became an immediate fan of Leonard Goldberg after reading "A Deadly Practice". This book kept me turning pages!! Medical thrillers are some of my favorite. Leonard Goldberg's books are simliar to great books written by Robin Cook, Michael Crighton, James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell. I look forward to reading more of Leonard Goldberg's Joanna Blalock series. Leonard Goldberg is my new favorite!!

This Author Never Ceases to AMAZE US

Once again Leonard Goldberg has come through with a fast-paced, twisting and turning plot that keeps the reader mesmerized throughout the book. I always know that it's safe to take one of his novels with me when I have a lot of down time because they consistently hold my attention and keep me focused on the book instead of the time. This book grabbed me from the opening pages and kept my interest until I closed the last chapter and handed it off to my hairdresser. If you don't follow Mr. Goldberg's series, I strongly recommend that you start - always a promise of a great read.

Deadly Delightful

This is my first look at Leonard Goldberg and I just couldn't put it down, ala Patricia Cornwell! The plot of doctors getting murdered in very gruesome manners and the passages where the killer's thoughts were described -- while not identifying the killer is excellent! I loved the relationship between the forensic pathologist, Joanna Blalock, and the cop, although that seemed a little too close for comfort to Patricia Cornwell's Dr. Kay Scarpetta and her FBI boyfriend. However, many cop books portray relationships between cops and other cops or other people in law enforcement, and in real life, this happens all the time! The reputations of doctors being on the line during a malpractice suit was very realistic and moved along at a good pace between all the murders, blood and guts -- and stray hands falling here and there. Definitely a book for the morbidly curious. That's me!

The Best I Have Ever Read!

I never had read a medical thriller before. Goldberg did a A+ job with this book. The characters and plot are so great. It keeps you turning page after page and is like eating candy. Once you start you can't stop! I think Goldberg is the best and I can't wait to buy his other books. Don't miss out on this one.

Thrilling!

The life of physicians must be full of horror. Otherwise there would not be so many doctor-writers who develop such grim scenarios. This book is a splendidly written story, full of suspense, with a meticulously developed plot. You start it and you finish it in one go. And it is not only suspense. The book also deals with a problem that is obviously kept under cover by the authorities: drugs done by a lot of hospital personnel. I am looking forward to reading more books by Goldberg.
