Kerrigan Byrne makes a fiery, passionate, romance that blows you away. Prudence Goode has been raised by her family to be a loyal, obedient daughter who is betrothed to a man she doesn't love as a financial power play by her father. She hears of a school for young ladies that has at night some "extra curricular activities" for any lady who has the money can participate in. Prudence wanting to know passion just once in her life before she has to live a married life of drudgery, humiliation, emotional neglect, and family obligation goes there and finds one of the masked men of the night to grant her wish. Inspector Sir Carolton Morely grew up on the streets of London as a criminal and managed to bring himself from a mere soldier to a man of means, a knight, and chief of Scotland Yard who at night is a vigilante protecting the people, and that night while in his guise he grants Prudence her wish. Then come her wedding day her groom is killed, and he has to find his killer in order to save her from the gallows.
