Disappointment

I bought this (via Amazon) because of its beautiful cover, but don't judge a book by its cover! This had some surprising violence, along with a really annoying goody-two-shoes, know-it-all, perfect-at-everything male protagonist. All the same, don't give up on Jody Hedlund just because of this--other books of hers, such as Evermore, Foremost, and Hereafter, along with her Colorado Cowboys series, are amazing.
