The story of the Cadet Nurse and Lt. Mulkerne really got to me. Not only is it a true love story, but it is the true story of my parents. I am proud to see it in print. My parents would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this June, but sadly my father (Lt. Mulkerne) passed away last August. He knew that their story was going to be published however, and for that I am grateful. This book is very inspiring and filled with hope. Thank you for giving nurses and all those in the caring profession a voice.

Even though I contributed a story to this anthology I wanted to share my opinion about the publication. I was very impressed with all the stories as I thought they spoke very well to the heart of nurses and nursing. The compassion and caring for fellow human beings came through in a very real and humbling way. I think any nurse would be proud in reading this book. It speaks well of our profession.
