Very good resource. From zero to A+ in 37 days.

I bought, I read, I certified. The tests at the end of each chapter were vere usefull. I've wanted to break into the field for a few years, but had no free time for classes. This book and some Windows/DOS material did the trick. I already have job offers. Some chapters were more detailed than necessary, but I would rather be over prepared than under. A very good book indeed.

The best book series I found for A+ passing and teaching.

I bought David's two books, read two books, studied two books, and passed two test with scores on the upper end. I train computer students and am not a repair junky. Buy, read and heed. You will pass.Easy to read. Easy to understand. Good review questions. Remeber that the purpose of the books is to help you pass the test. Yes, there is more technical DOS and Win3.X material out there but you simply don't need it for this test.I took the old test and for the new one you will need some additional material. But don't let that stop you. You will probably use these books after the test too.

Very Good Resource

Although I obtained my MCSE before embarking on the A+ certification I have found this book to be an excellent resource. I have had years of experience as a computer technician before advancing to sys admin and finally NT systems design work, but I found this book increased my knowledge in areas that I had been lacking. A great resource for those starting out in the computer field, this book coupled with some on hands experience can give you a solid base in computer hardware knowledge.

Great and complete

Teaching a friend to become a plus certified and the book is so complete and explains everything in detail. I would recommend it for anyone.
