One out of 4 us not ok.

Sad to waste a talent like Chase with the other authors here. While Chase’s story was by no means one of her best, her prose alone stands head and shoulders above the other three. Cameron’s story was readable, the other two not even that. At least I now know enough not to purchase their books.

Really enjoyed two of the four stories

I agree with previous reviewers, these are all pretty good stories. My ranking of them are: Stella Cameron's "The Greatest Gift"--2-1/2 stars. The plot was a bit weak, characters were a bit forced, but the feelling between the hero and heroine was convincing enough to make a decent read. Loretta Chase's "Falling Stars"--3-1/2 stars. Ms. Chase did a good job on describing the deep feelings for one another where they both chose the "honorable" way out; although the author's intention was honorable, unfortunatelly, the speed was too slow. Linda Lael Miller's "The Scent of Snow"--4-1/2 stars (I'm picky about given 5 stars). This had all the elements: it was tender, it was sweet, and you know the bond would be very tight when they depent so heavily on one another (I know I would, any man makes me breakfast and cleans out the bath tub gets my vote). Joan Hohl's "Footsteps in the Snow"--between 4 and 4-1/2 stars. This was a smooth and fun reading, with some time-travel, spying, and unfolding of history events ... all was very fascinating but did not quite grab me as the previous story did. One additional note, these all have explicit sex scenes, some might enjoy it more than others.

Very pleasant stories

I bought this book for the Loretta Chase story "Falling Stars", which is lovely, but all the stories are good ones, very readable. It's so rare to find an anthology with all the stories equally good...this is one to keep.
