By a Chance Encounter , a vibrant young woman in her thirties, when leaving an elevator at work, and not looking, runs into a guy standing off to the side, whos waiting to get on. In the ensuing melee, she drops an arm load of papers shes carrying. Together both drop down to pick up the papers. He apologizes. She looks over at him - polished, good looking, and probably in his forties - and suddenly she finds herself tongue tied, by the way he is looking at her. Later in conversation with her friend she tries to rationalize the way she reacted, not understanding why she was attracted to him! The story goes on with several more, not very unusual, short meetings between them, until on the last meeting he takes a chance and asks if she would like to go to dinner with him. He has a cute accent she thinks, and accepts, and that was the last time her friend saw her. For the next week or so, no knows where she is, and thats when the police are brought in.
