Intriguing

The beginning was spicy and unexpected. The heroine was troubled and secretive. The hero was stuck in his ways. While there was some slow sections , the behavior of all the characters kept you guessing. Napier and Lisette's assumptions were formed by harsh childhoods but they discovered important truths about themselves and others in the course of investigating some murders and were both changed by that. I was not bored. It gave me new ideas to consider.
