A heart stopping paranormal romantic thriller

Megan Barrow's had once used her psychic abilities as a ghost-buster for the SPIRIT organization. But that was before she'd had a close encounter of the demonic kind. Nowadays she contents herself with using her abilities to acquire memorabilia with happy memories for her antique shop, Antique Fancies. Enter Case Lambert, Seattle realtor who specializes in turning houses over for profit. He's been having close encounters of his own. Case had purchased the run down Smithson mansion which he is turning over for his own use. He had grown up in dire straits with a carpenter father who had devoted all his time to fixing other people's homes while their own fell down around their ears and a mother who had used what little money they had pursuing psychics who had all turned out to be quacks. For that reason he is determined to have his home in mint condition before he brings a wife and family into it. Unfortunately his dream house appears to be haunted. He hires SPIRIT psychologist Eric Ramsey with the hope that Eric will find a logical explanation for the phenomenon he is experiencing. Eric in turn had insisted that Megan be a part of the investigation. Although Case sets her heart aflutter, Megan insists that she is through with ghost-busting. The mention of Eric's name makes her even more determined to refuse the offer as he had been responsible for her last terrifying experience. Nevertheless she soon finds herself ensconced in Case's house, Eric, ghosts and all. Yes, ghosts plural. Although one appears to have amorous feelings for Case, it soon becomes apparent that something truly terrible had occurred there and one spirit will stop at nothing to keep the living from ridding the house of its ghostly inhabitants. Megan soon realizes that the time has come to stop playing it safe, to risk it all including her heart. Not even the dead can keep Megan and Case from falling in love. A BABE IN GHOSTLAND is a heart stopping paranormal romantic thriller that will have the reader believing in ghosts -- and true love. A highly recommended read. A Babe in Ghostland

Megan Barrows can see ghosts. She has stopped seeking them out after a bad experience and now focuses on using her sixth sense to find antiques for her antique store. Case Lambert approaches Megan in her store under the guise of a man seeking an appraisal. Case doesn't believe in ghosts or psychics, but something strange is happening in the mansion he just bought and his friend, Eric, insisted that Megan could help. Megan knows Eric too and she is furious over what happened the last time she worked with him, but the growing mystery surrounding Case's house has her reluctantly helping him anyway. There are ghosts in Case's house all right, angry, dangerous ones. If Megan can't get to the bottom of why they are there and what they want, they may not make it out alive. A Babe In Ghostland is a sometimes funny, sometimes creepy story that kept me intrigued. Megan and Case have an experience that was bound to keep them close; they are a good match. The discovery of why the ghosts existed was pretty clever, making A Babe In Ghostland an entertaining story. Nannette reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

A BABE IN GHOSTLAND

A REAL PAGE TURNER KEEPS YOU ON YOUR TOES TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO OR WHAT IS HAUNTING THE HOUSE. AND WHEN WILL THE TWO MAIN CHARACTERS FINALLY GET IT ON!!!

fun paranormal romance

In Seattle, Washington, Case Lambert stops at Megan Barrows' store Antique Fancies giving the owner palpitations of the heart. A realtor who restores old houses before selling them, he does not want to buy any of her items that only contain happy memories except her services to rid his new purchase of an apparent ghost; though first he tests her with his family heirloom, a watch owned by his doting grandmother. Megan, having almost lost her soul during her ghostbusting days, passes the test easily but refuses to intervene especially when he mentions parapsychologist Eric Ramsay recommended her. Megan's best friend Tracie Thomas accepts the job for her at an exorbitant fee, dinner with his cute butt. He already lives in the mansion though it is not renovated and has two reasons for wanting her to stay there with him. First he is very attracted to her and second though a skeptic he is taking no chances that ghosts share his home. She quickly concludes he has several ghosts residing there including a ghost who has the hots for the hunk almost as much as Megan wants him. Of course the Smithson sister spirits have other plans with Eric as their milieu, but no one can prevent Megan and Case from falling in love. A BABE IN GHOSTLAND is a fun paranormal romance starring a likable lead duet who fall in instant lust even before the first ghost appears. The story line is fast-paced as Megan's rival is from the beyond. Though the tale is somewhat to romantic fantasy form, sub-genre readers will enjoy Lisa Cach's fascinating tale of ghosts trying to prevent a mortal romance. Harriet Klausner

Excellent!

My first and only other read by Lisa Cach was "Have Glass Slippers, Will Travel" and it was good enough that the author and the title stuck in my mind, so I looked forward to this book release. I thought it was excellent! I had to force myself to put it down to get some sleep last night. I think the cover and title are a little misleading as it is not quite as fluffy as it sounds and I found it to be a page-turner. If I had to say anything negative it would be that I wish it were longer, more elaborate. It is an great read and the concept of this particular medium could definitely have been made into a trilogy of some sort. Enjoy!
