A book to renew your soul and lighten your spirits.

A 2nd helping of Chicken soup for the soul is a beautiful, beautiful, book. Just a minute ago I read reviews for the first book, and I was apalled at what some people wrote. I don't know how people could be so insensitive that they should not be moved by such a wonderful book. I first read the Chicken Soup for the Soul books one day two years ago when I was sitting in my living room, trying to think of something to do. I spotted those books, and decided to try one of them. I read my first story and found myself almost in tears. I was truly moved by the kindness of one person. I spent the rest of the day reading the books, and by the end of the day I had resolved to try and show the kindness I had read about in those books. Today I feel I am a better person because of those books. I reccomend them to any kind of soul!

Recommended for those who need a boost-up in life

This book has made me cry, laugh, and think about life clearly. It touched my heart to read all those wonderful, soul inspiring stories. When I'm going through a rough time, I know that a good helping of chiken soup will warm me up and help me think over my problems. Reading Chicken Soup For the Soul and A Second Helping has inspired me to read on until I bought your latest book, A fifth portion. Bring on some more helpings!

Wonderful display of love and everyday life......

My beloved friend gave me this book for a gift. This is the most wonderful book I've read recently. It reminded me how we were when we were young and naive. If you are wondering what to get for friend who you love, this is it.

UPLIGHTING AND INSPIRING STORIES OF LIFE'S LESSONS

This is one of the most inspiring books and I read in some time. The author does a wonderful job of compiling the stories from other authors. After reading these stories you are left with a genuine feeling of inspiration to either become a better individual or look at life from a different perpective. My nine year old daughter was especially moved by this book when I read several stories to her. She was immediately hooked and this became a nightly ritual at bedtime, until the book was finished. She she stiIl enjoys reading the stories over and to other people. I recommend this book highly because it makes you take a closer look at yourself and evaluate what's really important. This should definitely be in everyone's personal library
