These poems and prose poems date from 1986 -2000. This is approximately the period of time the poster poems (of 'Swan Stands Knowing' fame) affected me for, a vast great blank with nobody knowing much about them. But the posters themselves were the subject of articles in the papers, and mentions on the television news, even if I got no feedback from them. The poems about London specifically, were done when I was living, with fifteen others, in a derelict hotel in Belsize Park, a large squat. I used to go out and walk the streets every day, ending up at the Tate or the National galleries and then a tube home to write a poem in the evening. Also at this time I was involved with an evangelical church, The London Church of Christ, with a majority black student and graduate congregation, and I joined in all their events with enthusiasm and was welcomed. The author, Paul Pegasus (real name Paul Arathoon) won a $10,000 prize and the title 'Internet Poet of 2004 (poetry.com)'
