Helpful & Honest

I found this book to be extremely helpful. I was out of college and lost in a sea of interviews and newspapers with hundreds of red circles strewn throughout the pages. I'm not going to say this book fixed everything, but it did offer me a lot of insight I'm not sure I would have thought of otherwise. One of those "it's too obvious to recognize" moments. I really liked the journaling, I didn't take 52 weeks to read this, as the author had intended, but like I said, I got a lot out of it and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

This book makes PERFECT sense

Bonnie Cox offers a combination of a training tool, a self development exercise plan, and a record for progress. For me, the true test of a "great idea" is that when you hear (or read, or see) a great idea in practice, you either think: "I wish I had thought of that" or: "That makes perfect sense!" The author clearly understands how important the concept of process is when working on making yourself more valuable. This is a key concept for employment in the 21st Century, but more importantly, it is a necessary ingredient in personal happiness. We ask ourselves every day:" How did I do today? Whom did I touch, help, or learn from?" Ms. Cox's combination of wisdom and insight, along with her compilation of ideas and perspectives make this a book that offers the most valuable education of all- the reader (and user) will learn about THEMSELVES. I am recommending this book to everyone I come into contact with who feels unsure of what impact they have on the world, every employer who wants their employees to come to their place of business to do more than simply perform a job function, and to anyone who wants to rethink the direction of their life. Being the best employee ever means that you think of someone besides yourself. You establish a leadership position, (regardless of your title) and you are soon enjoying work, getting along with peers, and that can only lead to a more satisfying life. Bonnie Cox deserves thanks, attention, and book sales as a result of this smart, fun, insightful and truly educational book.
